WISL / WIPL Fall Round-Up

Another fall campaign in Washington Youth Soccer’s regional WISL and WIPL has come to a close. Here’s a quick look through all the action!

G2013 Rave celebrate a win

We start with the Girls WISL where the G2013 Rave and G2014 Valley Shale finished atop the tables in their respective brackets.

The G14 Valley Shale girls went 6-1-1 in the U11 D1 group, posting a 16-7 goal differential on the campaign. Their lone loss was a narrow 0-1 defeat, and the draw came against the North Shale squad that went 2-4-1 and finished with a strong 2-0-1 run. The G13 Rave were a perfect 8-0-0 in the U12 division with an impressive 57-7 goal differential, which was 17 better than the number two side. The G2013 Copa were not too far back in the same group at 5-3-0, finishing tied for fourth and posting a 32-21 aggregate score for the season.

In the slightly older age groups, the G2012 Copa finished on a strong 2-1-1 run at U13 to go 2-3-3 for the fall and the G2011 Copa were second at U14 with a 5-2-1 mark, finishing with three shutouts and a 15-6 total score.

In the Girls WIPL it was a top three finish for all four sides this fall.

We’ll start with the G2015 Rave who went unbeaten in the U10 league, finishing with a 51-10 scoring tally. At U11 both the G2014 Valley Rave and North Rave performed well. The Valley squad finished second at 6-3-1 (36-15 in scoring) and the North went 5-5-0 (23-14 in scoring) with three of those losses coming at the hand of the Valley. Rounding things out at U12 was the G2013 Pre-DPL squad, which finished second with a 4-3-3 record, posting four shutouts while tallying a 34-12 aggregate score.

In the Boys WISL there were a handful of performances to highlight. At the U11 D2 division the B2015 North Rave excelled playing up a year, finishing first with a record of 6-2-0 (35-13 scoring). In the same group the B2014 South Copa side finished 3-2-3, finishing tied for fifth.

In the older groups the B2013 Shale finished fourth at U12 D2 with a 3-2-3 record and the B2012 Shale were fourth at 5-3-0 in U13 D2.

In the U11 Boys WIPL bracket the B2014 North Rave finished third at 5-5-0 on the season.
