Spokane SC Sounders announced the coaches for the Older Boys (2002-05) ECNL and RCL teams for the 2020-21 season.

With the continued success of the oldest boys teams of recent years, – from RCL I champions to the storied acceptance into the Boys ECNL – the Spokane Sounders continue to set the standard of where to play and compete as a youth boy soccer player. We are ecstatic to announce our staff for the older boys: from College Advisor Nick Piger to staff coaches Jesse Retan, Mike Pellicio and Tim Seely.

“This group of outstanding coaches return for another season with our program after earning a place among the elite of the region and nation in the Boys ECNL,” said Abbas Faridnia. “Their ongoing stewardship of the program will continue to raise the reputation of the Spokane Sounders outside of the community throughout the club, college and professional ranks as players such as recent Seattle Sounder professional signee Ray Serrano and numerous college alumni impress and earn continued accolades at all levels of collegiate soccer. The last few years has been staggering with players committing and playing at such programs as the University of Washington, Air Force Academy, Grand Canyon University, Seattle Pacific University – and the list is long.”

In addition, Spokane Sounders matches the event calendar with each team’s competitiveness and needs, further enhancing the club’s efforts. The Spokane Sounders event calendar now includes ECNL National Events for our ECNL teams, providing the most prestigious, elite and most visible opportunity to be showcased for all levels of collegiate soccer.

The professional signing of Serrano by the MLS Sounders and the vast number of Spokane Sounders committing to play collegiate soccer are further examples of the club’s successful role in the community.

In the last year Spokane Sounders players have committed at all levels of collegiate soccer, from all three tiers of the NCAA to NAIA and Junior College programs. The list is long and continuously growing.

The four pillars of Development, Competition, Enjoyment and Community are integral for Spokane Sounders, setting the foundation and continued standard of youth soccer in our area.

Our foundation starts with the players in our club, and we are proud of the effort and dedication our players put forth.

The Boys ECNL was formed to provide a top level, club-based development, training, and competition platform for youth male soccer players, with conference competition in five age groups (U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18/19) and collegiate exposure through multiple Boys ECNL National Events. (More +)
