Abbas Faridnia - Spokane SC Shadow Technical Director

The Ferris High School and Gonzaga University alum began his Shadow career as U-19 player as a HS junior and continued playing for the team for several years, including for the 1999 PDL Finalists. He concluded his career at Ferris with the GSL MVP award as well as All-GSL First Team, NSCAA All-Far West First Team honors along with a 4A State championship. As a senior at Gonzaga University, he and the Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA tournament after claiming the conference championship. Faridnia also played for the PDL Seattle Sounders Select in 2001.

Currently a Nationally USSF A-Licensed coach, Faridnia was the Director of the Spokane Soccer Club, which combined with the Shadow at the beginning of 2012. In addition to coaching as and ODP assistant coach for Washington State and ODP head coach for Idaho State (3 years each), Faridnia was an assistant coach for four years at CC Spokane, winning the NWAACC East Division title, and was the head coach of the Spokane Spiders PDL team in 2008. -- Faridnia will oversee all operations for the Shadow First Teams on and off the field.

Dan Philp - Head Coach, Shadow Men's First Team

Beginning in 2020, longtime club coach Dan Philp will lead the team. He has worked with many of the up-and-coming players in the area via WYS EPD and has prior experience playing and coaching at the level. Full News Release [+]

Jesse Retan - Head Coach, Shadow U23

One of the leading coaches in the club, Retan was appointed the third head coach for the EPLWA team in March of 2018 after the appointment of Pellicio to the MFT position. He will also serve as an assistant for the First Team. Full News Release [+]
