The Spokane Shadow announced March 15 as the date for the upcoming tryout for the Men’s First Team to identify players for the upcoming campaigns in the National Premier Soccer League as well as for the U23 side in the Evergreen Premier League.

The tryout will be held at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex in north Spokane from 5:00-7:00. There will be a $20 fee, and players are expected to arrive at least 15 minute prior to check in.

“I am looking forward to getting the process under way for the 2020 NPSL season,” said new head coach Dan Philp. “There is a lot of great local talent in the Spokane area and colleges throughout the northwest that will be a valuable part of not only the NPSL side, but our U23 team in EPLWA. The club has created a great dynamic in which players commit to the Shadow men’s program and players, particularly younger ones, earn opportunities to compete with top collegiate talent by rising up the ladder from Spokane Sounders ECNL to the U23s to the First Team. In just the past few seasons we have seen the fantastic rise of Jake Levine and Brayden Tucker prove the system works, and we are excited to see who will be next.”
