Shadow Announce HS Coach Assignments, Events Schedule

The Spokane Shadow are pleased to unveil the coaching assignments and event schedules for the 2025-26 High School age boys squads. Tryouts are February 24 & 25 at Dwight Merkel.

“I am happy to announce our coaching assignments for 2025 Boys High School age teams,” said Boys U13+ Director Jesse Retan. “We are putting together a unified staff in our vision to guide youth players through their soccer journey. It is a privilege to serve our members and represent our community through soccer.”

Abbas Faridnia will continue with his role as head coach of the 2009 ECNLRL group and will also be taking the 2010 ECNLRL.

“These are two talented groups that will benefit from Abbas’ experience and strong leadership.

Coach Jason Sandobal will continue on as head coach of the 2010 Shale team for a second season.

“We are delighted to keep Coach Sandobal on the team. His passion to teach the game is valued immensely.”

Marc Mason will coach the U19 ECNLRL and U19 Shale.

“Marc has proven to be a great addition for our boys coaching staff. Marc’s knowledge and attention to detail are exceptional.”

The outline for the event calendars have also been set for the upcoming season.

The ECNL RL squads will be participating in the Spokane Shadow College ID showcase, Crossfire Challenge (Surf NW), Northwest Cup, PacNW Showcase and the ECNLRL National Event or Mayors Cup as well as other events determined by the team.

The Shale teams will compete in the Spokane Shadow College ID showcase, Northwest Cup, Crossfire Challenge (Surf NW) or Snohomish Bigfoot tournament and either the PacNW Showcase or other events determined by the team.
