Spokane Shadow is ecstatic and proud to provide the community the Youth Development Program (YDP), a minimal to no cost professional grassroots program for the U6, U7 and U8 age groups led by former Everton FC Academy Coach Marc Mason.

The opportunity for Spokane Shadow to provide an impactful program - for not only soccer development, but character development - at minimal or no cost is beyond exciting for the next steps for the youngest soccer players in our community.

YDP Discovery

Designed for newer soccer players, the program provides an atmosphere of peers for fun learning and playing environments to encourage player development at their own pace.

YDP Emerging Talent

Designed for more advanced soccer players with prior experience with the program, school or siblings/friends, the program provides a more enhanced curriculum and challenging playing / training environment to foster their skill level.

- Twice a Week Training
+ One session with Coach
+ One session with Director Marc Mason
- Once a Week Games
- Boys & Girls Teams
- Fall & Spring Seasons
- Registration Fee: $135 + Jersey Cost

The 2025-26 Fall and Spring season provides a launching point for birth years: 2018, 2019 & 2020

Welcome to the Spokane Shadow U6 to U8 Youth Development Program!

My name is Marc Mason and I am the director of the Spokane Shadow Youth Development Program (YDP). I wish to offer you the warmest of welcomes to the program and I look forward to the chance of meeting you and your player in the near future!

What to Bring to the YDP Sessions:

- Suitable clothing for outside training (warm and light gear).

- Suitable shoes for playing on grass (cleats are ok).

- Soccer ball (we have lots but bring your own if you would like!)

- Shinguards (optional)

- Water

- Smiles and energy!

Parent Coaching Opportunities - Registration Fee Waived

The Spokane Shadow are proud to have developed many US Soccer Grassroots Licensed coaches via the YDP and SJP program that have fostered a fun learning environment for the youth soccer players of today, many of whom that have continued on with coaching when their children have advanced through the club.

By becoming a volunteer coach, you will receive weekly training and mentoring from YDP Director Marc Mason, be directly involved with the maturation of not only developing your children, but others in the community that may need that additional positive environment. And in addition to giving back to the Spokane community we will waive your child's registration fee.
